A mob is an NPC (Non-Playable Character) that usually roams around (Except the ones that can’t move like Drosyra). All mobs in GoBattle.io are enemies, except for the townsfolk in adventure mode and friendly ghosts in Halloween World. There are also NPC computer-controlled players in King Mode to add playability. (Note: You can tell if a player is an NPC if their name is colored light gray rather than white. They also wear default armor, have generic names, and have clumsy or robotic movement.) All humanoid mobs (e.g archer) will fall onto the ground if any of the following conditions are met:
The player lands many hits in succession with their sword.
The player lands the last hit in a sword combo (eg. Sting’s stab)
These conditions do not apply to Defenders, who cannot be launched. Also when mobs are falling onto the ground, they can't be damaged by players using swords. Variants of enemies exist, with the only variation being the name of the mob (e.g. Rat vs. Bolt Rat). If humanoid mobs leave their spawn for a long time, they will die and respawn at their spawn.
Mobs have levels, shown by a number visible above them. In a dungeon, they calculate the average level of all the players, and enemies will be leveled stronger or weaker accordingly. Higher levels give mobs more health and attack, but also grant more experience upon death. In Adventure Mode, mobs stop leveling after lvl. 100 — for instance, a player may be lvl 105, but all mobs will be 100. When more than one player level 100 or over is in a dungeon, the level of the mobs can be represented by the equation L(p)=2(p-1)+100, where L(p) is the level of enemies, and p is the number of players level 100 or over in the dungeon. (If there is also player(s) underneath level 100 in the dungeon, the dungeon will just average the levels). All mobs inside King Mode Dungeons are set to level 31.
There is also a recommended level of dungeon, which levels of mobs will at least be the recommended level.
